Haldin at FIA 2026: Create What’s Next Through Natural Innovation

September 25, 2026

Bekasi, September 21, 2026 — Food Ingredients Asia (FIA) 2026 provided Haldin with an opportunity to connect with industry players and explore evolving needs in natural-based product development.

Under the theme “Create What’s Next”, Haldin showcased natural building blocks and a range of application concepts to demonstrate how natural building blocks can be developed into diverse product possibilities. Over the three-day event, Haldin engaged with visitors and generated more than 250 leads.

When Natural Building Blocks Meet Formulation Demands

One of the key insights emerging from conversations throughout FIA 2026 was the growing demand for more specific natural building blocks.

Industry players are not only looking for ingredients with natural characteristics, but are also considering consistency, sensory profiles, and suitability for specific formulation requirements. As natural building blocks can vary in their characteristics, the need for natural building blocks that offer greater consistency and application suitability is becoming increasingly relevant.

This need aligns with Haldin’s Precision in Naturals vision: bringing a more measured and consistent approach to natural building blocks, enabling their natural characteristics to be applied more precisely according to formulation and application requirements.

From Natural Building Blocks to Application Possibilities

As formulation needs become increasingly specific, exploration goes beyond building blocks to how these materials can be developed into different product possibilities.

At FIA 2026, Haldin showcased a range of natural building blocks and application concepts to demonstrate how natural building blocks can be explored across different product developments.

Among the building blocks showcased, coconut and functional ingredients were two of the categories most frequently asked about by visitors. The interest in functional ingredients also comes amid growing consumer attention to health and nutrition. In Indonesia, 55% of consumers stated that their food choices are driven by the desire for better nutrition, while across Asia Pacific, interest in products offering health and functional benefits continues to develop.

This interest was further connected to the application concepts presented by Haldin, particularly across beverage, dairy, and nutraceutical categories. Visitors explored applications including Kolak Pisang Latte, Natural Coconut Sports Drink, Feminine Elixir, various ice cream and milk applications, as well as Energy Snack Bar and Beauty Snack Bar.

The approach demonstrated how natural building blocks can be explored from their inherent characteristics through to application possibilities tailored to product development needs.

Innovation in Action

The exploration came to life through a Live Innovation Session with Dennis Guido, Food Technologist and content creator, on September 17, 2026. During the session, Haldin demonstrated the development of a Herbal Shot, from selecting the right natural building blocks through formulation, processing, and quality control.

Beyond the Herbal Shot, Haldin also presented a series of live demonstrations showcasing different possibilities for natural building blocks. These included Golden Vanilla Waffle, featuring Haldin’s vanilla powder with Haldin honey and arenga syrup as toppings; Curry Dry Rub Chicken, using Haldin curry powder; Matcha Coconut Pandan, featuring Haldin matcha, coconut, and pandan powders; and Jamu Soda, developed using Haldin’s functional building blocks.

These live demonstrations showcased how Haldin supports FMCG R&D teams in exploring new product ideas and innovation possibilities. By combining market trends, natural building blocks, and precise formulation and processing, Haldin helps translate innovation opportunities into diverse product applications with consistent results.

Diverse Needs, One Space for Exploration

Beyond exploring the applications and natural building blocks showcased at the booth, visitors came with a wide range of needs. Sandra, a garden owner and part of Hiroto Group, visited the booth to explore Honey Paste and Honey Liquid, while Brenda, a homemaker, came looking for cooking inspiration.

These diverse interactions reflected the broad range of needs surrounding natural building blocks. From sourcing specific materials to exploring new ideas and applications, each conversation provided an opportunity to better understand different needs and connect them with relevant possibilities.

Continuing the Conversation

For Haldin, FIA 2026 was an opportunity to understand visitors’ needs while opening further conversations around natural building blocks and their application possibilities.

From interest in building blocks such as coconut and functional ingredients to the exploration of diverse application concepts, interactions throughout FIA 2026 reflected the range of needs emerging in natural-based product development.

Through “Create What’s Next,” Haldin continues to move the conversation from natural building blocks to application possibilities, guided by Precision in Naturals as an approach to delivering natural solutions that are more measurable, consistent, and relevant to formulation needs.
